This quickly turned into an idea to produce these wonderful fungi on a commercial level, providing the local community with the freshest and best quality gourmet mushrooms - grown right here on the outskirts of York city centre.
We grow a variety of species of delicious and healthy gourmet mushrooms, and where possible I have sourced and created the genetics for these mushrooms from wild specimens foraged by myself in the local area - the Summer and Winter Oyster Mushrooms and the Golden Enoki all come from mushrooms found here in York, so in other words, their a

We believe that good food should be good for the planet, too. That's why we are committed to sustainability in everything we do. We use eco-friendly packaging materials, recycle as much as possible, and pass our spent mushroom substrate blocks to a local composter who turns them into reusable compost. The substrate we use is a mixture of

We use eco-friendly packaging materials, recycle as much as possible, and pass our spent mushroom substrate blocks to a local composter who turns them into reusable compost. The substrate we use is a mixture of hardwood fuel pellets and soy hulls, and is 100% peat free.
We are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and make a positive difference in our community.
